Besides providing us with many quality automobiles, Hyundai is also exploring the world of personal transport vehicles. Acting as an alternative to cars in densely populated areas, these vehicles are very compact and usually only fit one or two people inside. To showcase their efforts in this emerging trend, Hyundai debuted the E4U concept at the Seoul Motor Show.
The E4U is certainly unique. It has an egg-like shape with an open top, and two small wheels that stick out of the back to keep it balanced. It works much like a Segway does; to go forward, you lean your body that way. The same goes for backwards and right to left. Of course, the E4U has much more stability, and with the encompassing frame, keeps you safe. Plus, if you needed a windshield, there is one available, and again, it's unique. That's because you place it on your head.
The new compact transport vehicle uses a 500 watt electric motor, and can reach a top speed of 19 miles per hour, again, making it a nice alternative in big metropolitan areas.
It will be interesting to watch the developments of the E4U transport vehicle, and we'll keep you updated on the Fox Kia blog, where you can find the latest news and dealership happenings.
In the meantime, why not stop in to 4141 28th Street SE and check out our new Hyundai lineup? We have a wide selection of vehicles to choose from, and our friendly and knowledgeable team can help by answering any questions you might have, and setting up test drives.
