Recently, CarGurus announced that the Hyundai Santa Fe was their choice for best-used car in the Full-Size Crossover/SUV category of their first annual Best Used Car Awards, which recognize the best pre-owned models in seven categories based upon such important factors as long-term value and driver satisfaction.
The Santa Fe received high scores for its versatility, beating such competitors as the Ford Expedition and Dodge Durango in expected value retention. Editors observed that the Santa Fe offered owners an enticing combination of comfort, technology and roominess.
Only vehicles originally offered for sale in the U.S. were considered, with model generations including the 2013 model year included. Vehicles were evaluated based on user reviews, professional test drives and projected depreciation, with the models earning the highest overall scores named the winner in each category.
