As of our writing, Hyundai’s Genesis luxury brand has put out just as many concept cars as it has production models. In this case, however, we’re getting our first look at what the Korean automaker’s new luxury marque sees in their upcoming SUV lineup. Meet the GV80 Concept—an upscale SUV with a hydrogen powertrain.
While the H2 engine is purely conceptual, the rest of the vehicle does a fine job of showing the direction that Genesis intends to take its SUVs and crossovers. Although heavily stylized, we can see a version of the car’s silhouette, and elements such as the mesh grille in production guise in our minds. The interior is likewise trumped up, with a unique instrument panel design, and numerous technological gadgets.
